Household Insurance
How BUSTYA reads your insurance documents

Household Insurance is available for supported customer uploads. BUSTYA analyses document-supported policy details, builds privacy-safe renewal history and can run a factual Market Check once enough comparable history exists.

Car
Vehicle details, cover type, insured value, excess, premium and renewal changes. BUSTYA may retain only the final four alphanumeric registration characters as an additional vehicle discriminator; full registration, VIN/chassis and engine numbers are not used for policy-history identity.
Motorcycle
Motorcycle details, cover type, insured value, excess, premium and renewal changes. BUSTYA uses safe vehicle characteristics to build renewal history and does not use VIN/chassis, engine numbers, owner details or full registration as policy-history identity.
Boat & Personal Water Craft
Boat and Personal Water Craft (including jet ski) policies are kept as separate insurance streams. BUSTYA can use document-supported craft make, model, year and craft type while excluding hull/HIN, serial, engine and registration numbers from policy-history identity. Navigation limits, motor/trailer cover and equipment cover remain important comparison facts.
Caravan, Camper & Trailer
Caravan, camper-trailer and insured recreational trailer policies can use safe make, model and year facts for renewal history. VIN/chassis, serial and registration numbers, owner details and addresses are not used as the policy-history identity.
House & Contents
Building and contents cover, insured values, excesses, limits and material changes. Combined House + Contents is treated as one policy when the document states combined cover. Street addresses and postcodes are not used as the policy-history identity.
Pet
Benefit limits, reimbursement percentage, excess, sub-limits, waiting periods and exclusions. Pet names, owner details and microchip numbers are not used to identify renewal history.
Health
Hospital/Extras structure, stated tier or cover description, excess, benefit limits, waiting periods, restrictions and exclusions. A matching Silver, Gold or other tier label alone does not establish equivalent cover.
Analyse → Compare → Market Check
One supported policy document gives BUSTYA something to analyse. Separate renewal periods can build a policy history when BUSTYA can safely establish that they belong to the same insured risk. Market Check unlocks only after three genuine, non-overlapping renewal periods for the same safely matched insured risk. It then compares documented product information from BUSTYA’s verified catalogue. BUSTYA does not obtain personalised quotes, estimate alternative customer premiums or recommend an insurer or product.
What “comparable” means
BUSTYA does not treat price alone as a comparison. It checks available document-supported cover information such as cover type, insured value or benefit limit, excess, limits, waiting periods, restrictions and exclusions. If important information is missing or materially different, BUSTYA will not present the policies as broadly comparable.
“Broadly comparable” means the available documents support a meaningful factual comparison; it does not mean the policies are identical or that BUSTYA has assessed which product is suitable for you. Missing or unverified information stays clearly identified rather than being assumed.
\nFor Health Insurance, BUSTYA requires stronger evidence than a matching tier name. Customers should check the insurer's current Private Health Information Statement (PHIS), policy information, waiting periods and restrictions before making a change.
What Market Check does — and does not do
Market Check uses current official insurer product information that BUSTYA has verified and records the source and date checked. It can show documented differences in cover, limits, excess structures, waiting periods, restrictions and exclusions where the source supports them.
It is not a personalised quote service. BUSTYA does not send your details to insurers for quotes, estimate what another insurer would charge you, rank products as “best”, or tell you to switch. The results are not the whole market. BUSTYA shows the exact number of products and insurers checked so the breadth of the Market Check is clear.
Privacy-safe policy history
BUSTYA is designed not to use names, street addresses, policy/account numbers or other sensitive unique identifiers to create insurance renewal history. Additional prohibited identifiers depend on the insurance type, including VIN/chassis and engine numbers, hull/HIN and marine serial numbers, registration numbers, microchip numbers, Medicare details and medical information. When there is not enough safe information to establish the same insured risk, BUSTYA keeps the histories separate rather than guessing.
For Health Insurance, BUSTYA does not use names, dates of birth, membership or Medicare numbers, contact details, claims information or medical information as identity signals when building policy history. If a document refers to a Private Health Information Statement (PHIS), BUSTYA can flag that reference, but it will not invent or assume PHIS details, cover, restrictions or other information that is not actually stated in the documents being analysed.
BUSTYA provides document analysis and factual comparisons. Insurance terms, eligibility and cover can change. Check the insurer's current PDS, TMD, PHIS where applicable, eligibility requirements and policy terms before making a change.
