BUSTYA Gas Guide
Understand your gas or LPG bill

Gas is not one single household service. BUSTYA keeps mains natural gas, LPG bottle exchange, LPG bulk or on-site refill, and metered LPG separate so unlike services are not compared with each other.
What BUSTYA checks
BUSTYA can read supported gas documents for the supplier, service postcode, supply model, charges and document-supported usage or delivery information. For mains gas this can include MJ usage and supply charges. LPG documents can include cylinder quantities, litres delivered, delivery charges and equipment-related charges when they are stated.
Like-for-like history
Mains gas is compared with mains gas. Bottle exchange is compared with bottle exchange. Bulk refill is compared with bulk refill. BUSTYA does not treat these as interchangeable services. LPG delivery and refill invoices can be tracked by their delivery or refill event rather than requiring a conventional billing period.
Market checks
Where supported, BUSTYA uses the service postcode to narrow relevant market information. Postcode eligibility does not guarantee that a particular property can receive a service. Supplier confirmation, current prices, equipment costs and other conditions can still apply. If market data is incomplete, BUSTYA will not guess.
Comparing LPG suppliers and prices in Australia
When comparing LPG suppliers, start with the same delivery model: cylinder exchange, bulk tank refill or metered LPG. Check the price per cylinder or litre, delivery fees, cylinder or tank rental, minimum-order conditions and any applicable account charges. A lower headline gas price may not mean a lower total delivered cost.
Supplier availability, service areas, equipment ownership and contract conditions vary. Check current written quotes for your postcode and compare the same quantity and service type. Mains natural gas tariffs are not directly comparable with LPG delivery prices.
